Dr. Ahmed has managed the contracting and feasibility study / due diligence phases of more than 2000 residential lots and sites in the Washington Metropolitan area for Pillars branded companies. Disposition of these sites was often to Diamond Properties itself, or to another of Pillars Development Groups operational brand names, Edgemoore Homes or Basheer & Edgemoore. In other cases, Edgemoore or Diamond developed the sites for sale to 3rd party builders as ‘finished lots’ with all entitlement, planning, engineering and development work in place.
The third party builder lot sales area of Pillars’ business continues in operation today, with the most recent and current project being Marbury, in Loudon County, VA, where Pillars is delivering finished lots to NV Homes, a public stock homebuilder with significant operations in the suburban Washington and mid-Atlantic markets.
