Mr. Al-Hussain has been actively involved in the homebuilding and development industry since 1981, when he created a privately held real estate investment company in New York City. His early schooling took place at the International College in Beirut, Lebanon, where Mr. Al Husain took his High School and he was involved in many activities including track and field soccer and basketball. He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering (1978) from the University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Mr. Al-Hussain also attended the Pratt Institute in New York City, from which he holds both Bachelor’s (1984) and a Master’s (1986) degrees in Architecture.
After graduating from the Pratt Master’s Program in late 1986, Mr. Al-Hussain returned to Saudi Arabia to work with TAACE, the Tarik Ali Reza Consulting Engineering Company in Riyadh, KSA. During his tenure at TAACE, Mr. Al-Hussain worked directly with the Principal as site architect for the construction of the HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal Palace. Mr. Al-Hussain was promoted to Office Manager of TAACE and oversaw a wide variety of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects designed, managed and constructed by TAACE through 1990.
In 1991 Mr. Al-Hussain relocated to the U.S. to the Fairfax County area of suburban Washington, D.C. By early 1992 Mr. Al-Hussain formed Pillars and became President of Edgemoore Homes, a single-family homebuilding J.V. that included Mr. Richard Snider. In addition, Mr. Al-Hussain, was co-founder in 1995 of Basheer & Edgemoore, a high-end community development and home building entity.
Following on the successes of both Edgemoore and Basheer & Edgemoore, Mr. Al-Hussain led Pillars Development Group in 2000 to create a high rise / high density commercial development arm branded as Diamond Properties focusing on close in, urban centric development and construction sites.
Together, these brand names have compiled over $1.7 Billion of completed residential and commercial real estate development, including the design, construction, marketing, sales, and or rentals of those projects, all areas in which the Pillars brand names were consistently recognized with both regional and national awards for their projects.
Today, the underlying Pillars Development Group is the brand name continuing the award winning traditions established since 1992, and led by Mr. Al-Hussain into the future with a highly targeted, ultra specific focus on urban-centric / Metro – served sites in the Washington, D.C. region.
Ahmed Y. Al-Hussein was awarded his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Kiel, in Kiel, Germany in 1989. From graduation until mid 1995, Dr. Ahmed was occupied in the specialty of pediatric medicine at the University Hospital of Kiel, Germany area while simultaneously exploring a budding interest in business. In 1995, Dr. Ahmed discontinued his medical career and engaged full time in a partnership where he established a multi-branch business in Germany. In 1998, he sold his business interests in Germany and moved to the U.S. where he joined Husain Y. Al-Hussain in forming Pillars Development Group’s Diamond Properties high-rise construction brand.
As a co-founder of Pillars Development Group, Dr. Ahmed manages Pillar’s business development. Furthermore he manages legal affairs, including acquisition contracts, settlements and operating agreements. Through his extensive interaction with landowners during acquisition efforts, Dr. Ahmed has built a wide and reliable network of owners brokers with whom he in continuous contact for up to the minute site acquisition information.
Dr. Ahmed has managed the contracting and feasibility study / due diligence phases of more than 2000 residential lots and sites in the Washington Metropolitan area for Pillars branded companies. Disposition of these sites was often to Diamond Properties itself, or to another of Pillars Development Groups operational brand names, Edgemoore Homes or Basheer & Edgemoore. In other cases, Edgemoore or Diamond developed the sites for sale to 3rd party builders as ‘finished lots’ with all entitlement, planning, engineering and development work in place.
The third party builder lot sales area of Pillars’ business continues in operation today, with the most recent and current project being Marbury, in Loudon County, VA, where Pillars is delivering finished lots to NV Homes, a public stock homebuilder with significant operations in the suburban Washington and mid-Atlantic markets. Dr. Ahmed has found that his ability to maintain his network of potential sellers and brokers continues to lead Pillars to lucrative and well-located properties to be studied for potential acquisition and development.
After attaining Bachelor degree in systems engineering in 1990, Eng. Ghazi had studied three master degrees in different fields matching his career plans in due course ; MSc in Information Technology and Systems Engineering (UK), Master of Business Administration (Saudi Arabia) and most recently Master of Real Estate Development and Infrastructure Engineering (USA).
Eng. Ghazi worked in several business industries including : Oil, IT and Communication, Banking, Real Estate Development, Consulting firms, Engineering and Construction. Eng. Ghazi had the opportunity to work with both international and local companies. Eng. Ghazi has progressed in his managerial positions up to the senior level.
Eng. Ghazi has attended numerous courses all over the world in various arenas. In addition, he has participated in several regional and international conventions either as a panelist, a speaker or organizer.
Today Eng. Ghazi splits his time between Riyadh and the D.C. Metropolitan Area. He runs his own companies and he also co-founded R&P which focuses on income-generating real-estate properties.
Mr. Snider is a native Washingtonian holding a BA degree from Cornell College who also attended George Washington University Law School. After Law School, his initial business experience was with the Maryland based home building and component manufacturer Ward Corporation between 1971-1977, where under his supervision as V.P., Component Divisional sales and production grew from less than $2M to exceed $20M annually by 1977.
In 1978 Mr. Snider left Ward Corporation to launch Triangle Development Company, a start up home building operation. Mr. Snider funded the company, and managed growth to annual sales of $30M by 1991, winning many prestigious Monument Awards for design and planning along the way. Also active in the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA), Mr. Snider served as Chairman of the Real Estate Finance Committee from 1986 until 1990.

Edgemoore’s initial project of 98 units was a Builder Magazine Honoree for home design and land planning, the first of scores of regional and national awards bestowed on Pillars’ Edgemoore brand name. Mr. Snider serves as Vice President of Design and Planning for Pillars Development Group, where since 2004, Pillars has increasingly focused on income producing property acquisitions and close in urban “Metro-Centric” locations for construction and land development.Building Industry Association (NVBIA), Mr. Snider served as Chairman of the Real Estate Finance Committee from 1986 until 1990.

Since then, Mr. Snider has served as the Vice President of Design and Planning for Edgemoore’s parent company, Pillars Development Group, where from 2004, Pillars has increasingly focused on close in urban “Metro-Centric” locations in the Washington, D.C. region to continually expand its vertical construction portfolio while continuing to develop land for sale as finished lots to its third party National Builder clientele.
Mr. Dyniec earned a bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting. In 1983, Mr. Dyniec passed the CPA Examination and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Dyniec began his career in June 1981 working for Sylvester Scaletta, CPA., a local CPA firm in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. In September 1983, Mr. Dyniec moved to Fairfax, Virginia and accepted a position with Beers & Cutler, CPAs, in Washington, DC. Beers & Cutler was formed in 1976 and was the leading accounting and consulting firm focused on the Washington, DC region. In 2010, Beers and Cutler rebranded as Baker Tilly. Mr. Dyniec provided tax, audit and general consulting services for a vast and diverse client base during the three years that he was there. It was during this time in his career that Mr. Dyniec began to develop his expertise in the field of real estate.
In 1986 Mr. Dyniec left Beers & Cutler and accepted the position of Controller at Triangle Development to work with Mr. Rick Snider. Mr. Dyniec was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 1988 and held that position until the company ceased operations in 1991. In 1992, Mr. Dyniec joined Mr. Snider and Mr. Al-Husain Y. Al-Hussain in a new venture known as Edgemoore Homes. Mr. Dyniec held the position of Chief Financial Officer with Edgemoore Homes from 1992 until 2010.
In 2010, Mr. Dyniec joined Pillars Development Group as the Chief Financial Officer. He provides the overall direction of all accounting and financial matters pertaining to Pillars Development Group and related entities. Among his responsibilities are management of project financing, communication with lenders and final approval of all financial statements and tax preparation. During his tenure at Edgemoore Homes and Pillars Development Group, Mr. Dyniec has developed strong relationships with lenders based on trust and integrity that has resulted in project financing which has helped fuel the growth of the companies
Mr. Hamidaddin is a 2012 graduate from George Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance. In addition, as of 2015 Mr. Hamidaddin attained an esteemed Master of Science degree in Finance from American University’s Kogod School of Business in Washington, DC.
In 2013 Mr. Hamidaddin joined Pillars Development Group where has been involved in all aspects of business development and investor relations including new project due to diligence, asset acquisition and disposition, financial modeling, loan origination, investor outreach, investor reporting, and more. Mr. Hamidaddin’s responsibilities also include working closely with the CFO in matters concerning loan administration, corporate/legal administration, and asset management.
